  If you've never been to school, you'd have a fair bit in your educational
bank. I would imagine you could cover 3 years of uni in lieu of 12 or 13
years of school.

  Now this is an excellent idea!!! More kids should try to organise this
option.
    I don't expect my son to get  free education at uni and we are in the
financial position to be able to help him out while he studies but I would
hate to think that anybody that would like to continue studying was forced
not to follow that passion becasue of finance. I'm out of the loop when it
comes to scholarships and the only student I know personally that is on a
scholarship is studying medicine and had a UAI of 100. I would imagine there
are still scholarships that are means tested????
