Hi,
Some research has come to suggest that the brain is broken into two spheres,
one being the left side the other being the right side. The left side has
been labeled the Audio Sequential side, which main behavior is to build up
ideas and learning from small pieces, like a brick wall, to build up a
thought or a concept. It is thought that 97% of the world is left brained
dominate.
Right Brained dominate behavior is virtually the opposite, its where these
people need the whole picture as soon as possible and then break down that
picture into its composite parts for understanding and learning. This is
meant to be the 3% of the population.
There is also a group called Cross Brain, which uses equal amounts of both
sides of the brain.
Its not easy to explain, but you can find more information on Lesley Swords
web site at http://www.giftedservices.com.au/visualthinking.html
Regards
Tony
