[Oz-gifted] computer competition

Talking about technological language being tricky, years ago, in the dim
dark days when not many companies had computers let alone pc's (actually
they didn't even exist), I worked at a company that sold these strange
contraptions to banks and the like.

There was a new girl acting as a temp typing up a prospectus for one of
the salesmen. In the prospectus, the salesman was talking about hard
disks and floppy disks. The thing is he didn't have very good hand
writing. This girl, being very dutiful, kept typing what she thought
was correct, although she was horrified that this salesman was selling
hard dicks and floppy dicks, and she really wondered what type of
company she was working for!

The prospectus was kept for many years and enjoyed by many of what
happens when someone doesn't understand the "technological language".

True story - I saw the prospectus!

Cheers
