We swear.  We have never explained what the word in question means.  We 
are quite clear that at times adults use words which are unacceptable 
for children to use at school and that we will not be thrilled if 
children use that word on a regular basis at home.

Sex education is a different issue entirely.  With one, we started at 
the age of 3 when he asked questions and I am quite sure that the other 
one at the age of 9 is still totally clueless because he's simply not 
interested.
