Probably.

My two kids don't have any of the above conditions and both
are without doubt gifted. My daughter has atrocious spelling
but it's not bad enough to call it an LD and my son has a
sensitivity to smells but not enough to interfere with
everyday life. I can't say life has been a bed of roses in
bringing up my two, but I'm very pleased that I haven't
had the added issues of LDs or ADD or whatever to
deal with as well.

Yes, I think there are "straight out gifted" people out there.
