These programs are typically lightweight and it's true that they are very
interested in actual IQs, in my experience. When my son appeared on
TV several years ago, the journalist who came to our home pestered
him relentlessly for his exact IQ. To his credit, our son didn't tell him
- even when a trip in the Channel 7 helicopter was suggested as a
reward. Even today our son won't discuss his IQ except with people
very close to him. The topic only rarely comes up these days anyway.

It was such a bad experience that it put us off dealing with the media
entirely. The only value it had was to show us how current affairs
type interviews are put together. The technical stuff was interesting.
Apart from that, we really regret the interview.

I haven't seen the program yet. I have recorded it and will watch it
when I have time - but I will watch it through my BTDT glasses.
