Hi Leeanne,
Have a read of some of these reports from MCEETYA, they may help give you some ideas.

Subject: [Oz-teachers] Re: the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and ICT
Hi all!
I have just been appointed to teach ICT (information and communications technology) in my Primary School and have been asked to write to the parents telling them why there is the need to have a computer specialist in the school (rather than say, an Early Years Numeracy person who could help provide remediation and/or extension in Maths).
The explanation needs to be in line with the new Victorian Essentials Standards Curriculum. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Lee
