You're right Stephen, it is great... or at least, a great start. I've been
blown away with the Google mapping here in Canada and the USA and the way it
can be used for street level searches, and driving directions from place to
place. It's been really useful while we're here in Canada.
I had a look at the Australian maps as soon as I heard the news that they
were available yesterday, and although it's a good start, I will be eagerly
looking forward to the full Google mapping service when it arrives, and not
just the maps!
To see what I mean, call up Google maps (use the link below if you like),
and type in the address of my school... 2420 sixth line, oakville, on ...
and you'll see what I mean about street level mapping.
To see the navigation mapping, try clicking the "From Here" link and typing
a new place... (try typing Niagara falls, for example) and see how the
mapping service gives you the driving directions... Cool huh?
Can't wait till the Aussie maps do that! Or have I missed something?
