Hi all
In response to the question of which IWB to use, I would highly recommend
the Promethian. We have just about every flavour here and we wanted to
replace them all with just the one type of board so that we had the same
technical issues and the same PD etc. After much research and use of trial
boards etc, we finally decided on the Promethian. Followed Closely was the
new Hitachi. But the Promethian was better for the junior school and our
main rollout was there.
The only other factor was of course the price. We were able to get quite a
good price by having rival companies competing for our business. We were
able to get the Promethians down from $4000 odd to $2400 from empowered
learning (if you are in Queensland). The price we got for the Hitachi wasn't
bad either at $2300. Don't forget the total cost of ownership which will
include legal installation ranging from $400 - $1000.
I personally liked the Hitachi (HITACHI WIRED 77" DUO STARBOARD ) as it
doesn't require a pen or other device and has a 5 year warrantee (made in
Japan). This also has nice two-handed features that make it function much
like an iphone.
Kind regards
Rohan Dean
