 From my experience not many people on this list take offence - we just 
like to discuss issues.

Also we don't need to apologise for putting forward a point of view - 
how else can those of us who don't have the knowledge hope to learn 
more, if we don't hear spirited discussions?

Your experiences are so vastly different from mine that I find them very 
interesting reading indeed.
