[Oz-teachers] eportfolio assistance needed please

It's still just early days with Mahara, so we are sort of just seeing what
we can do with it at the moment. Mainly, we like the fact that there is a
Mahara Assesment type in Moodle, so teachers can set assessable items in
Moodle to which a student-created Mahara view is the response. The
Moodle-Mahara synergy then manages all the usual workflow between student
and teacher, adding results to the gradebook, sending notifications back to
students, etc.

Our English teachers in particular like the possibility of using Mahara as a
container for rich responses to assessment items that can still be tracked
through Moodle. We have been going into the English classes one by one and
teaching the kids how best to use it. They've picked it up very quickly.
